Black people have good reason to wear sunscreen.

You may have heard that dark-skinned people are not as affected by the sun as fair-skinned people. But the truth is that ultraviolet (UV) exposure affects all skin types over time.

In fact, one of the most noticeable problems in people with dark skin is hyper pigmentation, where the skin produces more melanin, creating darker spots.

Anyone can benefit from the daily use of sunscreen. Be sure to choose a waterproof sunscreen with broad spectrum (UVA and UVB) protection and an SPF of 30 or higher.

Sometimes the skin can be irritated by small bumps grouped in one place. And sometimes the rashes are almost invisible. Remember that this does not make your rash any less severe.

All skin types can age gracefully.

Skin aging is directly related to sun exposure, especially UV rays, which wear down the Skin Allergy Types over time. And discoloration – some call it “sunspot” in lighter shades – can become a problem.

Darker skin produces more melanin, which is a natural sunscreen. However, this is not enough to prevent certain UV rays from penetrating deeply. Using sunscreen is one of the best ways to prevent premature skin aging.

In addition to protecting your skin from the sun, there are other things you can do to help tone and age your skin. People with darker skin tones may develop small brown and black bumps on their face, which can be a normal part of the aging process. But it’s always a good idea to check these skin conditions to make sure they’re not causing any harm.
